Duckweed
By Manfield Zhu
The
busy and noisy city is annoyed.
If a pond’s face is mirror-like flat
Peaceful as duckweed
That is my poem to be sought.
Then ripples turn the surplus whisper;
Through the pond at the crescent I peer,
Watching voiceless duckweed cling to water.
If one embraces the other like this so tight,
Enjoying the no-distance atmosphere,
As River Jing and Wei** don’t mix but flow together,
Then a new Eden will appear,
I’ll be a true man of the eternal nature.
[written by Manfield Zhu /623/]
Note:“River
A is not mixed with River B though one is clear and the
other is muddy while flowing along the same river bed ”
Usually the two entitled Weihe River running through Shaanxi,
China.
