Notice for Clients

1. The Center declares that manuscripts, audio and video products entrusted to the Center for translation are not allowed to be used for the purpose of jeopardizing national security and public interests, and for other illegal and illegitimate purposes;
2. The Center does not take any responsibility beyond the quality of translation. For example, the copyright of the original book;
3. Manuscripts entrusted to the Center for translation should be clear enough so that the translators can clearly identify all words and graphs;
4. Audio and video products entrusted to the Center for translation should be clear enough so that translators can clearly identify the images and the sound;
5. As to manuscripts which need notarization, the Center asks clients to provide both clear original book and corresponding copy. And the Center declines with thanks to translate and notarize with seals those doubtful original books and copies;
6. In principle, the Center offers translation in sole accordance with the original book. However, as to manuscripts not concerning laws. the Center can make appropriate modification and revision under the demand of the client provided that the client raises the demand in written form when signing the contract;
7. To protect the client’s interest. the Center supervises the client’s manuscripts by classifying them and keeping them in secret;
8. The Center offers the service of guaranteeing the translation quality for six months after submitting the manuscript to the client, and the Center will keep the maternal and corresponding files in computer for twelve months and will destroy them after the quality guarantee period. The clients should raise their disagreement, if there is any, within six months after receiving the manuscripts otherwise the Center will consider that the clients have accepted the translation without any disagreement and the corresponding service of guaranteeing the translation quality for six months also concludes. If the clients ask the Center to delete all the information kept in file within six months, then the guaranteed promise will stop at the time of deleting;
9. The Center must sign Clients Order Confirmation with clients before undertaking the translation of manuscripts and audio and video products. The client must fill the form truthfully and please write down special requirements. If there is any in the note column of the form. The Center will not take any responsibility for the consequences produced by the mistakes made in filling the form;
10. According to Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China. Which has been effective since June 1, 1991, the Center enjoys the copyright of the translation. If the client puts the translation into commercial use. The client should pay the Center the reward, which is at least RMB 1,000 for one translation for using once;
11. The services in the Center are implemented according to Target Text Quality Requirements for Translation Service (GB/T 19682-2005), Specification for Translation Service-Translation (GB/T 19363.1-2003) and Specification for Translation Service-Oral Interpretation (GB/T 19363.2-2006) in National Standard of China;
12. The Notice is subject to change without notice. The right to interpret of the Notice belongs to the Center.
